Shadow coaching usually is part of accompanying the leader at meetings, meetings, speeches or negotiations.
The purpose of shadow coaching – observation and feedback with subsequent correction of behavior patterns.
Being present next to the leader in the usual working communication situations, the coach as a mirror can give objective and non-judgmental feedback:
- about the strengths of the leader,
- about how his role and figure is perceived by the team or counterparties.
After providing feedback, the coach helps develop strong methods of interacting with the team, subordinates or associates in a real business environment.
It is difficult to overestimate the function of shadow coaching in long-term contract work, when large goals are set that require timely changes.
